1. International Flights (Arrival)

Once passengers arrive at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, they must obey some procedures* before getting out of the airport as follows:

  • Download PeduliLindungi app on Google Play Store or Apple App Store or through the PeduliLindungi website.
  • Must show a COVID-19 certificate/card (digital or printed) showing that they are vaccinated second dose/booster, at least 14 days before departure.
    • The certificate/card must be written in English or the language of the country of origin.
  • Fully vaccinated/boosted overseas travelers do not need to bring the results of the PCR/Antigen test.
  • Passengers who have received the second or third dose of vaccine at least 14 days before departure are allowed to continue their journey.
  • Quarantine for 5 x 24 hours for passengers who have just received the first dose of vaccine or who have not received the vaccine.
    • Then the second RT-PCR test will be on the 4th day of quarantine

More specifically, passengers also have to go through checkpoints* as follows:

  • Checkpoint 1
    Go to the holding area for data collection for migrant workers, students, government employees, and other Indonesian citizens or travelers outside the previous criteria.
  • Checkpoint 2
    Head to the health document verification area and show the verified documents, including the vaccination certificate, and other documents required.
  • Checkpoint 3
    Passengers who have not received the vaccine must undergo a PCR test in a booth located at the International Arrivals Area of ​​Terminal 3 Soekarno-Hatta Airport. This COVID-19 test service will be carried out by a health care facility provider (fasyankes). Then passengers will also get vaccines according to the government program.
  • Checkpoint 4
    Head to the Immigration and Customs and Excise process. Passengers who have received the second dose of the vaccine can immediately continue their journey.
  • Checkpoint 5
    If the RT-PCR test result is positive, the passenger will go to the holding area to prepare for quarantine under the supervision of the COVID-19 Air Task Force personnel. If the test result is negative, the passenger may continue his journey.
  • Checkpoint 6
    Passengers who receive quarantine preparations must go to land transportation to be delivered to a designated quarantine location or continue their journey to their respective accommodations for those who do not require quarantine.

2. International Flights (Departure)

If you want to fly from Indonesia to other countries via Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, you must prepare the documents needed to flee abroad. Make sure to read and follow the information and policy from the authorities of your desired country. Some general entry requirements* to prepare are as follows:

  • Vaccine certificate of the third dose (booster) and negative RT-PCR test results in English or based on each country’s policy.
  • Short visit visa or any other applicable entry permit.
  • Proof of ownership of health insurance with a minimum coverage value requested by the embassy that includes costs for handling COVID-19.
  • Proof of booking confirmation and payment (booking) for accommodation in your destination.

3. Domestic Flights (Arrival/Departure)

Passengers ages 18 years old and above
  • Boosted travelers (received the 3rd dose of the vaccine): allowed to travel without showing a COVID-19 test result.
  • Recipients of the 2nd or 1st dose of the vaccine: are not allowed to travel.
  • Foreigners coming from overseas travel: the second dose of vaccine and not required to do a COVID-19 test.
Passengers ages 6-17 years old
  • Fully vaccinated travelers (received the 2nd dose of the vaccine): allowed to travel without showing a COVID-19 test result.
  • Travelers who have only received the 1st dose of the vaccine: are not allowed to travel.
  • Travelers who came from abroad and are unvaccinated: are exempted from vaccination requirements and not required to do a COVID-19 test.
Children under 6 years old
  • Must be accompanied by a guardian or a parent.
  • Not required to bring a COVID-19 test result and vaccination certificate.
Special health conditions
  • Required to show a doctor’s letter from a government hospital.
  • Not required to bring a COVID-19 test result and vaccination certificate.
Regular trips by public/private transportation
  • Specifically for routine trips using land transportation modes (private or public vehicles, and trains) in one urban agglomeration area, these travel requirements are excluded from this trip.
