International Destinations Open for Travel – Although some countries are still under lockdown and advising their citizens for non-essential international travel, many popular destinations have lifted their border restrictions and reopened to international tourists!

So, if you’re one of the people who eagerly waiting for traveling abroad anytime soon, we’ve prepared you a guide to the top worldwide destinations that are readily welcoming Indonesian travelers.

However, remember to always comply with the health protocols, have your documents ready before flying, and periodically check COVID-19 status in the destination country. Okay, t-mates?

List of Quarantine Free Countries

Although a number of countries in the world have reopened their countries to tourists, a number of strict regulations are still in place, including quarantine. So, for those of you who are still hesitant to go abroad because of the quarantine rules, try coming here. These countries provide quarantine-free regulations!

Asia-Pacific

1. Cambodia

Planning to go around Asia? Now you can visit Cambodia, t-mates. It’s time to explore Cambodia’s interesting places, such as Angkor Wat, Phnom Penh Royal Palace, Angkor Night Market, and many more. Complete the following requirements below:

• Starting on 17 March 2022, Cambodia lifts COVID-19 testing requirement for international arrivals.
• Entrants are not required to present COVID-19 test results before departure or on arrival.
• Fully vaccinated arrivals are not subject to any quarantine, but passengers who are not fully vaccinated must quarantine for 14 days.
• Individuals traveling for essential reasons may submit applications for short-term visas permitting stays of up to 30 days either through a Cambodian embassy or consulate or the government’s official portal by clicking here.
• Passengers must:
  • Have an insurance policy issued by “FORTE” with minimum health coverage of 50,000 USD. Insurance policies can be accessed here.
  • Deposit 2,000 USD at the designated bank upon arrival.
  • These requirements are not valid for:
    • Cambodian citizens;
    • passengers with diplomatic visas (Visa A) or official visas (Visa B) issued by Cambodia;
    • a Cambodian citizen with a foreign passport and a K Visa entry permit issued by Cambodia;
    • passengers traveling on business with “Application Validation on Guarantees / Payment Invitations” (VAPGI).

2. Malaysia

Do you miss going to Malaysia, t-mates? This is the perfect time to leisure up and explores the country because Malaysia has opened its border to tourists from all over the world! Read below for the requirements~

• Starting May 1, 2022, passengers aged 13 years and over who have received a full dose of vaccine and booster don’t need to undergo a COVID-19 PCR test and quarantine.
• Children 12 years and under are exempt from testing and quarantine requirements.
• Passengers aged 17 years and under who have not received the full dose of vaccine or have not received the vaccine at all will undergo COVID-19 RT-PCR within 2×24 hours before departure and a Rapid Antigen test within 24 hours after departure.
• Passengers aged 18 years and over who have not received the full dose of vaccine or have not received the vaccine at all will undergo RT-PCR COVID-19 maximum 2×24 hours before departure, Rapid Antigen test maximum 24 hours post-departure, and quarantine for 5 (five) days.
• COVID-19 travel insurance is no longer needed.

3. The Maldives

Looking for a destination for your romantic year-end getaway? While Bali is perfect as a domestic destination, Maldives is now readily welcoming Indonesian tourists who want to experience a private tropical holiday on this stunning island.

Before going, check these requirements that you have to follow:

• Starting March 5, 2022, passengers do not need to show a negative PCR or Antigen test result. For more detailed information click here.
• For arrival as a tourist, you must have a confirmed hotel reservation for the entire stay at the registered tourist facility. Check here for more details.
• Bring a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that you have been fully vaccinated with AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria or SK Bioscience Co Ltd. from Korea), Covishield, Janssen, Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, Sinopharm or Sputnik V at least 14 days prior to arrival.
• Passengers can undergo a medical examination.
• Passengers must complete a “Traveller Health Declaration” 24 hours prior to arrival.
• Vaccinated tourists can check in to any tourist guesthouse, while unvaccinated tourists are only allowed to enter guesthouses on islands that meet certain requirements. More info here.
• Visa on Arrival is not available.

4. Singapore

For those of you who have been waiting for Singapore for a long time to open its border to tourists, starting on 21 January 2022, via the VTL route, Singapore will reopen its territory to tourists! There are a number of requirements that you must fulfill before entering Singapore, as follows:

• From 1 April 2022, Singapore opens its country to foreign tourists with the Vaccinated Travel Framework program.
• Travelers who have been fully vaccinated/booster:
  • No need to quarantine
  • No need to apply for Vaccinated Travel Pass (VTP) or Air Travel Pass (ATP)
  • No need to do a COVID-19 test upon arrival in Singapore
  • No need to use Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) flights.
• Travelers must perform an RT-PCR or Rapid Antigen test 2×24 hours before departure to Singapore.
• All vaccine certificates will be accepted as proof of vaccination.
  • Children under 12 years of age are exempt from vaccination requirements.
• Travelers must complete their Singapore Arrival Card, at least 3 days prior to arrival in Singapore.
• Additional Requirements for Short Term Visitors:
  • Short-term travelers holding passports or travel documents issued by countries/regions that require a visa must apply for an entry visa.
  • Have travel insurance with minimum coverage of S$30,000, for medical treatment and hospitalization costs related to COVID-19
  • Using the TraceTogether app in Singapore for contact tracing
• Tourists holding valid VTP can enter Singapore via VTL until 31 March 2022
• Valid ATP holder travelers with a travel history to Macau, Mainland China, and Taiwan can enter Singapore until March 31, 2022

5. Thailand

Who loves a shopping spree in Thailand? Good news for you! As of 1 February 2021, Thailand is ready to welcome international tourists for quarantine-free travel from selected countries, including Indonesia.

This means that you can visit Bangkok, Phuket, or Krabi very soon! However, there are some documents that you need to prepare as stated below:

Before Departure to Thailand

• Passengers must present a COVID-19 vaccination certificate that has been fully vaccinated by approved vaccines for at least 14 days before departure This does not apply to passengers who transit without getting off the plane.
  • Vaccines approved are AstraZeneca [Vaxzevria], Covaxin, Covishield, Janssen, Moderna [Spikevax], Pfizer-BioNTech [Comirnaty], Sinopharm, Sinovac, Sputnik V, Turkovac.
• Travelers from Indonesia do not need to show a negative PCR test result upon departure and do not need to undergo quarantine upon arrival in Thailand
• Indonesian citizens are allowed to visit Thailand for:
  • maximum 45 days for ordinary passport holders
  • maximum of 30 days for diplomatic passports and passports issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
• Travelers under 12 years old can enter Thailand without proof of vaccination, however, they must be accompanied by fully vaccinated adults
• Hold an insurance policy with coverage no less than 10,000 USD. This can be either health insurance or travel insurance
• Apply for Thailand Pass QR Code at least 7 days prior to departure to Thailand.

Arriving in Thailand

• Passengers must present the Thailand Pass QR Code to Health Control to carry out checks and then proceed through immigration procedures
• Comply with the health protocols and precautions
• 5-day quarantine for those who have not been fully vaccinated (and perform an RT-PCR test on day 5)
  • It doesn’t apply if tourists bring negative RT-PCR test results within max. 3×24 hours before departure and uploaded to Thailand Pass.

SANDBOX

• The SANDBOX scheme allows tourists from countries not permitted by the TEST and GO program to enter Thailand.
  • The difference is that tourists in the SANDBOX scheme are required to stay for 7 days in the SANDBOX destination area before continuing their journey to other areas.
  • SANDBOX Destinations:
    • Krabi, Phang-Nga, Phuket, Surat Thani (Ko Samui, Ko Pha-ngan, and Ko Tao), Chon Buri (Bang Lamung, Pattaya, Si Racha and Sattahip – Na Jomtien and Bang Saray only) and Trat (Ko Chang).
• Must have Thailand Pass.
• Have a negative RT-PCR issued no later than 3×24 hours before departure.
  • Travelers under the age of 6 do not have to have a PCR test result but must travel with a parent who has a negative RT-PCR test result within 3×24 hours before departure.
• An insurance policy with an insured value of not less than US$20,000 covering the handling of COVID-19.
• Have a hotel reservation for 7 nights of accommodation in a government-approved hotel; such as SHA Extra Plus (SHA++) hotels.
• Have proof of payment of 1 RT-PCR test on Day 1 and 1 Antigen Self-Test Kit (self-ATK) on Days 5-6.
• COVID-19 Vaccination/Recovery Certificate with approved vaccines at least 14 days prior to travel to Thailand. More info here.

6. Vietnam

You can explore Vietnam too if you choose Asia as your upcoming destination. This country offers amazing natural views and its borders reopen to foreign tourists now, including Indonesia. Check the requirements below before flying to Vietnam:

• Before departure fill out health declaration and download “PC-Covid” application.
• Have a vaccination certificate (in English) that is recognized by the competent authority in Vietnam.
  • The second dose or the first dose must be given at least 14 days and not later than 12 months before admission, or
  • Present a COVID-19 recovery certificate issued within 6 months prior to admission.
• Passengers must have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test taken at least 3×24 hours prior to arrival.
  • Or have negative rapid test results within 24 hours before departure. Test results must be in English.
• Passengers are not required to quarantine with negative COVID-19 test results.

Europe

1. The Netherlands

Who can’t wait to stroll around the city, looking at the beautiful European architecture? If you’re one of them, the good news is that as of 1 July 2021, the Netherlands has reopened its country to tourists! Check out some of the requirements that you must fulfill to enter the country below:

• Passengers must present a complete vaccine certificate, with vaccine types including AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), AZD1222 (SK Bioscience Co Ltd.), Covieshield, Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech, Sinopharm, or Sinovac at least 14 days prior to arrival.
  • Passengers who are vaccinated with Janssen should be done at least 28 days prior to arrival and certificates are issued on or after 14 August 2021.
• Passengers 12 years and above must include a negative test result for COVID-19 LAMP, MPOCT, NAAT, PCR, RT-PCR, and TMA no later than 2×24 hours before departure, or antigen a maximum of 24 hours before departure. Click here for more information.

2. Finland

Are you planning to go on a winter trip abroad? Finland is one of the countries that you must visit. Finland is currently re-opening the country to tourist visits. Prepare the following things if you want to fly to Finland:

• Present a negative COVID-19 Antigen or PCR test certificate taken no later than 2×24 hours before arrival. The certificate must be written in English. Read here for more info.
• Passengers may have to undergo a COVID-19 test upon arrival and self-isolate.
• The passenger has received all the required doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. The combination of any of the vaccines listed in the table here to achieve the complete vaccination series has been approved.
  • List of approved vaccines, Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna/Spikevax, AstraZeneca/Vaxzevria, Janssen, Sinopharm, COVISHIELD, CoronaVac/Sinovac, COVAXIN, Nuvaxovid, COVOVAX.
• Passengers do not need to quarantine upon arrival in Finland.

3. United Kingdom

The United Kingdom has re-opened its country to international tourists. For those of you who can’t wait to explore the beauty of the country, this is a great opportunity for you! Visiting popular places in the UK can create a memorable holiday time~

There are so many interesting tourist attractions there, starting from Big Ben, Tower Bridge, Stonehenge, Warwick Castle, and many more. Before entering the UK, first, let’s find out the UK entry requirements below:

• Starting 18 March 2022, you are free from filling out UK passenger locator forms, showing COVID-19 test results before and after departure, and undergoing quarantine.
  • Valid for all passengers who have been vaccinated or not.
  • This includes passengers transiting through the UK.
• Follow the appropriate COVID-19 rules and guidelines from:
  • Travel provider – airline, ferry, coach, or rail company.
  • Place of transportation – airport, seaport, bus, or train station.

4. France

Who doesn’t want to visit the City of Light? Now, France is opening its border for travelers from some countries and for vaccinated travelers from any country (including Indonesia). The country is renowned for its romantic cities, picturesque scenery, and historical landmarks.

There are several requirements that you must prepare before arriving in France. Here are the details:

• France is open to vaccinated travelers from any country (including Indonesia on the green list). More info here.
• Passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate and accompanying children under 18 years of age. The certificate must state that they have received:
  • Janssen’s first vaccine dose at least 28 days before arrival, or
  • Second dose of AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covishield, Fiocruz, Moderna (Spikevax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) or R-Covi vaccine at least 7 days prior to arrival, or
  • First dose of AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covishield, Fiocruz, Moderna (Spikevax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) or R-Covi vaccine at least 7 days prior to arrival and evidence of previous COVID-19 infection, or
  • First dose of Moderna (Spikevax) or Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) vaccine at least 7 days prior to arrival and proof of complete Sinopharm or Sinovac vaccination.

• Passengers aged 12 years and over from Indonesia and other “green list” countries must show:
  • Negative COVID-19 PCR test results taken no later than 3×24 hours before departure from the first embarkation point; or
  • Negative COVID-19 Rapid Antigen results are taken no later than 2×24 hours before departure from the first embarkation point; or
• Present a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that:
  • Have been vaccinated with Janssen at least 28 days and at most 270 days (9 months) prior to arrival; or
  • Have been fully vaccinated with AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covishield, Fiocruz, Moderna (Spikevax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) or R-Covi at least 7 days and at most 270 days (9 months) prior to arrival; or
  • Have been fully vaccinated with AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covishield, Fiocruz, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) or R-Covi and received a booster dose of Moderna (Spikevax) or Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty); or
  • Completely vaccinated with Sinopharm and Sinovac and receiving doses of Moderna (Spikevax) or Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty); or
  • Show a COVID-19 recovery certificate issued no later than 11 days and no later than 6 months before departure from Indonesia and several other countries. For more detailed information check here.
• Passengers must complete the Digital Passenger Locator Form.
• Passengers may have to undergo a COVID-19 test upon arrival. More info.
• Passengers from Indonesia do not need to undergo quarantine upon arrival in France. Quarantine exclusion list.

5. Spain

Spain has also opened its border to tourists including Indonesia. Here are some requirements you must prepare before entering the country:

• Passengers arriving in Spain by air or by sea (ferries), including passengers in transit and children under 12 years of age:
  • Must fill out the “Health Control Form” before starting the journey. Click here to travel by plane or via the Spain Travel Health app on Android or iOS. If coming by ferry, click here.
  • After filling out the form, you will get a QR code that must be shown both at boarding and upon arrival in Spain.
  • Passengers arriving from countries/regions that are considered not at risk will receive a FAST CONTROL QR code which will expedite checking upon arrival in Spain.
• Passengers need to check the EU STATE LIST/ EUROPEAN ECONOMIC REGION and the THIRD COUNTRY LIST published and updated by the Ministry of Health to check:
  • If you are from an EU/EEA region that is not listed as a risk country above, you do not need to attach a diagnostic test, Vaccination Certificate or Recovery Certificate.
  • If you are traveling from any third country, you will need a Vaccination Certificate or Recovery Certificate recognized by the Ministry of Health.
    • The vaccination certificate must be issued by the competent authority of the country of origin. At least 14 days after the date of administration of the final dose of complete vaccination, as long as the final dose of vaccination is not more than 270 days. If it is more than 270 days, the certificate must show the administration of the booster vaccination.
• The vaccines accepted are, Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Janssen / Johnson & Johnson, Sinopharm / BIBP, and Sinovac.
• Children between 12 and 17 years old:
  • Those traveling from countries outside the European Union or the Schengen Area do not need to present a vaccination certificate. Present a certificate showing a negative result from the NAAT test, RT-PCR or similar test, which was carried out 3×24 hours prior to arrival in Spain.
  • Children under the age of 12 are exempt from showing any of the required certificates.
• There will be a health control checkpoint at the first entry point, which includes temperature measurement, document checking, and visual assessment of health conditions.
  • If you are suspected of having COVID-19, or any other disease that represents a public health risk, you will undergo a medical evaluation and may be asked to perform a PCR/TMA/RT-LAMP test.

6. Switzerland

This beautiful country in Europe offers you stunning alpine scenery, branded watches, and melting milky chocolate. Aside from that, Switzerland is also known for its mesmerizing cities and villages, as well as scenic train rides with a view of the country’s natural vistas. The good news is that the country is opening its border to tourists now!

To come to Switzerland, there are a few requirements that you must fulfill as below:

• Switzerland is open to travelers from the European Union and Schengen countries, as well as travelers who have been vaccinated, including from Indonesia. More complete information.
• Passengers do not need to show a negative test result to enter Switzerland. Check here for more information.
• Passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they have been fully vaccinated no later than 270 days (9 months) prior to arrival.
  • The vaccines eligible are AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covaxin, Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Novavx, Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm and Sinovac
• Electronic contact details to be filled out here or the Contact Tracing Card form.
• Passengers are required to undergo a second PCR test or Rapid Antigen test between the 4th and 7th day after entry. It is also mandatory to notify the regional authorities of the results of the second test and submit the entry form number.
• Passengers do not need to be quarantined upon arrival in Switzerland. Check here in full.

7. Turkey

Turkey is opening its domestic and international flights from/to the country. This is probably one of the most in-demand destinations right now because the government has been actively boosting tourism to attract international travelers.

If you wish to travel soon, Turkey should be on your top list. It has the majestic Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Bosphorus Bridge, Emirgan Tulip Gardens, and many more exciting tourist attractions that you can visit.

However, there are several regulations that you have to fulfill before boarding a plane. Here are some requirements:

• Passengers aged 6 years and over must attach a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 PCR test result, no later than 3×24 hours before arrival, or a Rapid Antigen test 2×24 hours before arrival.
  • Passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate who have been fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to arrival.
  • Passengers with certificates of recovering from COVID-19 at least 6 months prior to arrival.
• Passengers must complete the Tourist Entry Form and submit it at least 3×24 hours before departure, and be presented at the time of arrival check-in (not valid for passengers under 6 years old).

America

1. United States

The United States has finally lifted its border restrictions to international tourists by currently setting up to open its flight again for tourists from several countries. Some of the requirements that you must present to enter the U.S. include the following:

• Passengers entering or transiting through the United States must have a negative COVID-19 test taken at least 1×24 hours prior to departure from the first point of embarkation. The accepted tests are Rapid Antigen, NAAT, RT-LAMP, RT-PCR or TMA.
  • Children under 2 years do not need the test.
  • Passengers will be asked to confirm in the form of a certificate that the information provided is correct.
• Passengers entering or transiting through the United States must have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they have been fully vaccinated at least 15 days (vaccination days + 14 days) prior to arrival.
  • Passenger details in the form of name and date of birth in the certificate must match those stated in the passport/travel document.
  • The vaccines received are AstraZeneca (SK Bioscience), AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covaxin, Covishield, Covovax, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Nuvaxovid (Novavax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm (BIBP) and Sinovac. The combination of these vaccines is acceptable if given at least 17 days apart. Learn more.
• All passengers are required to provide contact information to the airline before traveling to the United States. More information here.
  Passengers who have not been fully vaccinated, but are permitted to travel to the United States, are required to undergo:
  • Test for COVID-19 on day 3 and day 5 after arrival, unless having documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 in the last 90 days.
  • Self-quarantine for 7 days at home or in a hotel room, unless you have documentation of having recovered from COVID-19 in the last 90 days.
  • Self-isolate if the test results are positive or have symptoms of COVID-19. Check full details here and here.
  • If the passenger intends to stay in the United States for 60 days or more, the passenger must obtain a complete COVID-19 vaccination within 60 days of arriving in the United States. Unless you have medical contraindications or are too young to be vaccinated.
• All tourists are required to undergo:
  • COVID-19 test on the 3rd and 5th day after arrival.
  • Passengers can find the nearest US COVID-19 testing site, check here.
• The Passenger Disclosure & Attestation form must be completed before departure.
• Passengers from Indonesia do not need to undergo quarantine upon arrival in America. More info here.

2. Panama

Have you ever heard of the State of Panama? This country, located in Central America, is known for its stunning beaches, which are directly bordered by the Caribbean Sea, Pacific Ocean, Colombia, and Costa Rica. Another thing that is quite known from Panama is the Panama Canal.

Want to visit Panama while on vacation around the US? First, check the following entry requirements to Panama, t-mates:

• Passengers must present the results of the RT-PCR, PCR, or Antigen test taken at least 3×24 hours before departure. The test results must be made in English or Spanish.
• Present a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing the passenger has received the full dose of vaccine at least 14 days prior to arrival.
• Passengers who do not include a negative COVID-19 test result as specified above, are required to carry out a test upon arrival at their own expense.
  • This requirement is not valid for passengers with Laissez-Passer, under 12 years old, and passengers with COVID-19 vaccines.
• The ‘Declaracion Jurada de Salud‘ must be completed and presented upon arrival.
• You may be subject to quarantine for 3×24 hours
  • Not valid for passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they have been fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to arrival.

Middle East

1. United Arab Emirates (Dubai & Abu Dhabi)

The United Arab Emirates has lifted its border restrictions to foreign tourists including Indonesia. You can now visit Dubai or Abu Dhabi and enjoy its famous tourist attractions such as Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah Beach, Dubai Fountain, Miracle Garden, and many more.

However, there are several requirements that you need to prepare to enter the country:

Abu Dhabi Entry Requirements

• Effective February 26, 2022, the Green List system has been removed:
• Passengers no longer need to be tested for COVID-19 before flying to Abu Dhabi if they have been fully vaccinated.
• If not fully vaccinated, passengers must show a negative PCR test result taken within 2×24 hours, or
• Include a COVID-19 recovery certificate. The recovery certificate must be dated within 30 days before departure and have a QR code.
• Children under 16 years are exempt from this rule.
  • Abu Dhabi received vaccines approved by WHO and MOHAP.
• The certificate must be in Arabic or English and issued by an approved laboratory or a laboratory accredited by the country of departure.
  • Not valid for passengers under 12 years old and passengers with disabilities.
• Passengers will receive a free PCR test upon landing in Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi Entry Requirements

• Passengers traveling to Dubai from all countries (including the GCC) must meet one of the requirements below:
  • Show a valid vaccination certificate (full dose) with vaccines approved by WHO or United Arab Emirates (UAE), and includes a QR code; or
  • Show a valid COVID‑19 Negative Test certificate, issued 2×24 hours from the time of sampling. Should be based on molecular diagnostic tests aimed at the qualitative detection of nucleic acids for SARS‑COV‑2 viral RNA. Have a QR code; or

Australia

1. Australia

Australia is also another country Asia-Pacific for your next trip. From 21 February 2022, Australia reopens its borders to all fully vaccinated visa holders including tourists, business travelers, and other visitors, including from Indonesia. So, it’s the perfect time to discover the beauty of this Kangaroo Country! And here are some of the entry requirements that you need to pay attention to:

• Passengers allowed to enter Australia are visa holders who have been fully vaccinated. This includes tourists, business travelers and other visitors. Check complete information here.
  • Unvaccinated visa holders will still need a valid travel exemption to enter Australia and will be subject to state and territory quarantine requirements.
  • Australian citizens and permanent residents and their immediate family.
• Passengers who have been in Australia, New Zealand or both for the full 14 days prior to their flight to Australia;
• Passengers who hold a visa and have been granted an exemption before departure; details can be found here.
• Effective 15 December 2021, fully vaccinated eligible visa holders can enter Australia with no travel exemptions. The approved visa categories such as refugees, students, maritime crew and skilled workers (including Indonesians) are listed here & here.

• Passengers must show a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 NAAT test result taken no later than 3×24 hours or a negative COVID-19 Rapid Antigen test carried out no later than 1×24 hours before departure from the first embarkation point. This does not apply to:

  • Passengers with a positive PCR test result for COVID-19, and a medical release issued no later than 4 weeks prior to departure stating that:
    • it has been at least 14 days since being infected with COVID-19; and
    • has recovered 3×24 hours since fever and respiratory symptoms; and

• Passengers must have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they have been fully vaccinated at least 7 days before departure. • Passengers must complete an Australian Travel Declaration at least 3×24 hours prior to departure.

• From 15 February, all passengers entering Australia by air must complete a Digital Passenger Declaration (DPD) prior to departure.
  • Passengers can start DPD 7 days before the flight to Australia. However, DPD can only be completed within 3×24 hours before departure according to travel requirements (vaccines and COVID tests).
  • Starting March 1, passengers will be able to complete filling out their DPD by downloading the Digital Passenger Declaration application on the App Store or Google Play. More information here.
• Rules for international arrivals to New South Wales (Sydney). Passengers must enter hotel quarantine for 14 days if:
  • Have not been fully vaccinated, or
  • Have visited or transited through a country of concern in the 14 days prior to arrival in NSW, regardless of vaccination status.
• Passengers do not need to enter hotel quarantine if they have been fully vaccinated and arrive from a foreign country that is not a country of concern. You have to:
  • Self-isolation (at home or in accommodation) for 3×24 hours and until the PCR test results are negative. More info here.
• When transiting through Australia for 8 to 72 hours, passengers will be quarantined until the next flight.
• Prior to entering the state of Victoria, passengers must fill out the Victorian Quarantine Arrival Form prior to departure. You will also have to pay a quarantine fee of AUD 3,000 (USD 2,319) for the first adult, AUD 1,000 (USD 777) for each subsequent adult, and AUD 500 (USD 387) for children over three years.

1. The Philippines

The Philippines has decided to reopen its borders for foreign tourists. You can explore this country for a really exciting new holiday experience! Before entering the Philippines, these are the requirements you must fulfil:

• Passengers from Indonesia with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they have been fully vaccinated at least 15 days prior to arrival.
  
  • The vaccination certificates accepted are, VaxCertPH; or
    
  • AstraZeneca (SK Bioscience), AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covishield, Covaxin, Covovax, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Nuvaxovid (Novavax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm or Sinovac.
• Shows negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test results taken no later than 2×24 hours before departure.
  
• Passengers from Indonesia who do not have a vaccination certificate must have a reservation confirmation of at least 6 days, at a hotel approved by the Tourism and Health Agency.
  
• The return ticket date must not be more than 30 days from the date of arrival in the Philippines.
  
• Passport valid for at least 6 months upon arrival
  
• Travel insurance for COVID-19 treatment minimum coverage of USD 35,000.
  
• Passengers with verified complete vaccination status and with negative RT-PCR test results taken within 2×24 hours before departure:
  
  • Must undergo RT-PCR test on the 3rd day of quarantine.
    
• Passengers with verified complete vaccination status but WITHOUT negative RT-PCR test results taken within 2×24 hours before departure:
  
• Must undergo RT-PCR test on day 5 of quarantine.
  
• Passengers with partial or unvaccinated vaccination status:
  
• Must undergo RT-PCR test on the 7th day of quarantine.
  
• Before traveling to Cebu (CEB), you must register at least 5 days before departure here.
  
• Prior to traveling to Angeles city (CRK), Cebu (CEB), and Manila (MNL), all passengers must apply for a BOQ One Health Pass (OHP), including children, which certify personal information, health status and travel history. This is a 2 step registration process:
  
• Step 1: must be completed before departure date via this link and fill in all required fields completely and keep a copy of the unique transaction number.
  
• Step 2: must be completed at the airport, before boarding the flight to the Philippines: It is mandatory to fill out the e-HDC at this link by entering a unique transaction number. After completing all the information, passengers will receive a unique QR code which must be presented before boarding and upon arrival.
  
• Passengers on a 9(A) visa must have an attestation document issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).

2. Laos

Have you ever been to Laos, t-mates? Do you know that Laos has reopened its country to tourists, including those from Indonesia? Nevertheless, before visiting, it’s a good idea to pay attention to the following mandatory requirements before your departure to this country:

• Install the “LaoKYC” application on your personal device.
• Present a completed health declaration form upon arrival.
• Undergo a COVID-19 RT-PCR test upon arrival at your own expense as well as medical screening and quarantine for 14 days.  ‘Travel Consent’ letter must be signed before boarding.
• Have a reservation confirmation for 14 days at a designated hotel and transportation arrangements.

3. Qatar

For those of you who want to go to Qatar, now the country has reopened its border to tourists. However, there are a number of requirements to enter Qatar as follows:

• Passengers register on the Ehteraz app at least 3 days prior to arrival.
• Passengers must complete a “Delivery and Acknowledgment Form” prior to arrival.
• Shows a negative COVID-19 PCR test medical result taken no later than 3 × 24 hours before arrival. The test results must be issued by a testing center approved by the local government.
• Present a COVID-19 vaccination certificate stating that you have been fully vaccinated with AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covishield, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm, Sinovac or Sputnik V, at least 14 days prior to arrival.
• Passengers can undergo a COVID-19 Rapid Antigen test upon arrival.
• Passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated with Sinopharm, Sinovac or Sputnik V, at least 14 days prior to arrival, must have:
  • A positive COVID-19 serological antibody test taken prior to departure; or
  • A COVID-19 vaccination certificate certifying that they also received a dose of Moderna (Spikevax) or Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) vaccine at least 14 days prior to arrival. More details click here.

4. Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka has re-opened their country to international flights. You who want to come to travel to this country must meet the following requirements:

• Passengers must show a negative COVID-19 PCR test result taken no later than 3×24 hours, or a negative Rapid Antigen test 2×24 hours before departure from the first embarkation point.
  • Test results must be in English. Not valid for passengers under 2 years old.
• Show a COVID-19 vaccination certificate stating that you have been fully vaccinated at least 2 weeks before departure, or
• Show a COVID-19 recovery certificate issued at least 7 days and no later than 6 months before departure, and a COVID-19 vaccination certificate indicating that you have received a dose of vaccine at least 14 days after testing positive and at least 14 days before departure.
• Passengers must take another PCR test upon arrival
• Passengers must have travel insurance to cover the costs of COVID-19, with a minimum coverage of USD 50,000.
• A completed ‘Health Declaration Form’ online must be presented upon arrival.
• Passengers with tourist destinations that carry a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they have been fully vaccinated at least 2 weeks prior to departure can obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) upon arrival.

  • Not valid for passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate (full dose) at least 2 weeks before departure;
  • Passengers who test positive 3 months before departure must have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate stating that they received the vaccine dose no later than 14 days after testing positive and no later than 14 days before departure. Test results and vaccination certificates must be in English.
    • Passengers must also have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result taken no later than 3×24 hours or a negative antigen test 2×24 hours before departure.

Europe 

1. Albania

Albania, the Balkan country in Europe has eased its border restrictions and is open to foreigners. Enjoy sightseeing in various beautiful castles and archaeological sites, while enjoying the European ambience and cuisine in Albania.

The entry requirements to Albania are as follows:

• Passengers are required to show a COVID-19 vaccination certificate, that has been fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to arrival.
• Present a medical certificate with a negative Rapid Antigen test result, no later than 2×24 hours prior to arrival, or a negative COVID-19 PCR test result taken no later than 3×24 hours before arrival.
• Passengers must present a COVID-19 recovery certificate issued 6 months prior to arrival (for those who have been infected to COVID-19 before).

2. Belgium

Who can’t wait to enjoy the beauty in Belgium? Good news for you, now Belgium has reopened its borders to foreign tourists, including tourists from Indonesia.

However, before going to Belgium, there are some entry requirements that you must fulfill, t-mates. Find out the full requirements below:

• Passengers must show a medical certificate with a negative PCR test result for COVID-19 taken a maximum of 3×24 hours before departure from the first embarkation point. Test results must be made in Dutch, English, French, or German.
• Passengers must present a vaccination certificate that has been fully vaccinated at least 2 weeks prior to arrival. The vaccines received are AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Covishield, Janssen, Moderna, and Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty).
• Passengers must fill out the Passenger Location Form and submit it online at least 6 months prior to arrival.
• Passengers with a “C” visa issued by Belgium before 18 March 2020 must hold an Essential Travel Certificate.
• Passengers with a “C” visa issued by another Schengen Member State:
  • traveling to stay in Belgium, must have an Important Travel Certificate issued by Belgium.
  • who travel through Belgium to the country that issued the visa, must have an oral record or, other evidence, that the country of destination allows them to enter.
• Passengers must have an Essential Travel Certificate issued by Belgium or a ‘note verbale’ stating that the country of destination allows them to enter.

• Passengers over 12 years old must include a medical certificate for a negative COVID-19 PCR test, taken no later than 3 × 24 hours before arrival.
• Show a positive COVID-19 RT-PCR test taken at least 11 days and at most 180 days before arrival; or
• Passengers must present a complete dose of COVID-19 vaccination certificate with Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) 7 days prior to arrival,
• Present a complete dose of COVID-19 vaccination certificate with Moderna or Janssen at least 14 days prior to arrival,
• Present a complete dose of COVID-19 vaccination certificate with AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria or Covishield) at least 15 days prior to arrival,
• COVID-19 recovery certificate issued no later than 180 days prior to arrival.
• Passengers could be subject to self-isolation for up to 14 days. This does not apply to passengers with a negative COVID-19 PCR test result or COVID-19 vaccination certificate.

The government of Iceland has lifted the border restrictions and started welcoming foreign tourists. Known for its dramatic landscape with volcanoes, geysers, hot springs, lava fields, and the world phenomenon aurora borealis, coming to Iceland will never disappoint you.

If you plan to visit this Scandinavian country soon, take notes on what to prepare below:

• Visitors must show either a certificate of full vaccination against COVID-19 at least 14 days before arrival.
• Tourists are required to show a negative result of PCR or rapid antigen test before boarding an aircraft to Iceland, taken at least 3×24 hours before departure. Self-tests are not accepted and the result should be in Danish, English, Icelandic, Norwegian, or Swedish. This applies to passengers aged 16 years and above.

A Europe trip is not complete without a visit to Germany. You can go and have fun in popular tourist attractions in Germany because the country has reopened its country to tourists. Read the entry requirements below before you enter Germany and prepare the following necessary documents:

• Passengers are required to present a COVID-19 vaccination certificate who has fully vaccinated with or has received the first dose of AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Janssen, Moderna, or Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty) at least 14 days before departure. Certificates must be in English, French, German, Italian, or Spanish.
• Passengers under 12 years old who are accompanied by a parent with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate as stated above. Parents must also have a COVID-19 recovery certificate issued at least 6 months before the first dose of the vaccine. Certificates must be in English, French, German, Italian, or Spanish. They must not come from China (People’s Republic of China).
• Attach the results of the COVID-19 PCR, RT-LAMP, or TMA tests, taken no later than 3×24 hours, or Rapid Antigen test taken 2×24 hours before arrival. Certificates are issued in English, French, German, Italian, or Spanish.
  • Passengers with positive COVID-19 PCR, RT-LAMP, or TMA test results are issued no later than 28 days and no later than 6 months prior to arrival.

6. Liechtenstein

Have you heard about Liechtenstein before? The country with landlock status is a country that is situated between Switzerland and Austria. Even though it is a very small country and has few tourist attractions, it is still worth it to visit if you come to Europe.

The following are the entry requirements to Liechtenstein that you must fulfill:

• Passengers must include a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result for a maximum of 3×24 hours or a Rapid Antigen test result for a maximum of 2×24 hours.
• Include complete vaccination certificates with FDA-approved vaccines or vaccines authorized for emergency use by WHO.
• Passengers are required to fill in the “Electronic Contact Details” or “Contact Tracing Card”.

7. North Macedonia

North Macedonia is open for travel, including Indonesian tourists. This country is known for its history as one of the world’s great empires. While visiting, you can enjoy stunning natural landscapes such as mountains, lakes, and exquisite European architecture.

Its government has reopened all border crossings in the Republic of North Macedonia. Here are the requirements to enter North Macedonia:

• Show a COVID-19 vaccination certificate that has received the full vaccine at least 15 days before departure, using AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Janssen, Moderna, Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm, Sinovac, or Sputnik V.
• Passengers with a COVID-19 recovery certificate with a recovery period of at least 45 days before departure.
• Present a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result issued no later than 3×24 hours before arrival, or a negative COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test issued no later than 2×24 hours before arrival.

8. Serbia

For those of you who want to go to Serbia, currently, Serbia has re-opened their country for tourists, however, there are a number of requirements to enter the country as follows:

• Passengers must include a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result taken at least 2×24 hours prior to arrival.
• Present a complete dose of COVID-19 vaccination certificate which must be issued by Armenia, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Egypt, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, India, Lebanon, Moldova (Rep.), Morocco, Romania, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia , Slovenia, Tunisia, Turkey, or United Arab Emirates. 9. Slovenia

You may find this quite unfamiliar, however, Slovenia is one of the central European countries that has many amazing natural tourist destinations. The country that uses the Euro as its currency is well known for its magnificent and historic architectural buildings.

In addition, Slovenia is also a country that borders directly with Hungary, Italy, Croatia, and Austria. Before going, fulfill these entry requirements below:

• Passengers who aim to enter Slovenia must submit a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result at least 3×24 hours before departure, or Rapid Antigen results taken a maximum of 2×24 hours before departure.
• Passengers must include a certificate of vaccinated in full doses.

10. Greece

The beauty of Greece is hard to match. For those of you who are already planning to go on vacation to Greece, what a great time for you — the country has re-opened their country to foreign tourists, including Indonesia. It’s time to enjoy the beautiful panorama in Greece with your loved ones.

The entry requirements to Greece are as follows:

• Passengers must complete the Passenger Locator Form at least one day prior to arrival in Greece. The confirmation email or QR code obtained from the completed form must be presented upon arrival.
  • Passengers arriving with family can be accepted with a shared confirmation email or a unique QR code.
• Passengers aged 12 years and over must show:
  • A negative result of Rapid Antigen test taken max. 2×24 hours before arrival. Or negative results of PCR or RT-PCR tests taken max. 3×24 hours before arrival.
  • A COVID-19 vaccination certificate shows that you have been fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to arrival.
  • Passengers who are positive for COVID-19 are required to bring a COVID-19 recovery certificate at least 30 days after testing positive. The certificate is considered valid for at least 30 days and no later than 180 days after the initial positive result. Or a positive COVID-19 antigen test, PCR, or RT-PCR published at least 30 days to 180 days prior to arrival.

 1. Canada

Can’t wait for a trip to Canada? The good news is that starting 7 September 2021, foreign tourists will be allowed to enter Canada with the following conditions:

• Passengers with a complete COVID-19 vaccine certificate at least 14 days prior to arrival and uploaded on ArriveCAN are allowed to enter Canada. The vaccines received are AstraZeneca (Covishield), AstraZeneca (SK Bioscience), AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Janssen, Moderna, or Pfizer-BioNTech. Combination vaccines are accepted.
• Passengers are only allowed to land at the airports of Calgary (YYC), Edmonton (YEG), Halifax (YHZ), Montreal (YUL), Ottawa (YOW), Quebec (YQB), Toronto Pearson (YYZ), Toronto Billy Bishop (YTZ), Vancouver (YVR), or Winnipeg (YWG).
• Attach a certificate of COVID-19 negative PCR, RT-PCR, NAAT, or RT-LAMP test results taken no later than 3×24 hours before departure. Click here for more info.

2. Mexico

This country in North America has opened its border to foreigners, including Indonesian tourists. There is no need to provide a negative PCR test or quarantine on arrival, however, you should prepare this beforehand:

1. Mauritius
