1. Download M-Paspor to Take Your Queue Number Online
By reserving your queue number online, you will avoid such a pain at the immigration office. You can do it by easily downloading “M-Paspor” on Google Play or the App Store. Then, in order to access the menu, you must first register and fill in your personal data.
After providing all of the necessary information, you will be asked to specify the date and location of the nearest immigration office. Keep in mind that this is very useful for the interview process!
2. Apply for a Passport
Before visiting the immigration office, click “Ajukan Permohonan Paspor” which translates to “Apply for a Passport” on the app and complete all the requirements needed.

Make sure you have prepared the following requirements:

3. Select the Location & Schedule Your Visit

4. Make & Confirm Your Payment

T-mates, there is a passport fee increase that will apply effectively on December 17, 2024. Here are the latest fee rates based on PP No. 45 in 2024 which regulates the validity period of passports into 5 years and 10 years:
– Ordinary passport with 5 years validity period: 350,000 IDR*
– Ordinary passport with 10 years validity period: 650,000 IDR*
– Electronic passport with 5 years validity period: 650,000 IDR*
– Electronic passport with 10 years validity period: 950,000 IDR*
– Travel Document In Lieu of Passport for citizen of Indonesia: 100,000 IDR*
– Travel Document In Lieu of Passport for foreign citizen: 150,000 IDR*
– Same-day passport service: 1,000,000 IDR*
Be sure to make payment immediately after submitting the data. You can choose several payment methods, such as bank transfers, or pay through several marketplaces. Then, just save your proof of payment and show it during the interview at the immigration office later.
5. A Little Interview, Photos & Fingerprints
The last step is to come to the nearest immigration office on the scheduled date that you have chosen. Don’t forget to bring all the files that you uploaded for data adjustment during the interview.
Then, you will be asked to do a basic interview, record your fingerprints, and do a photo session for your passport. Don’t worry, the interview is basically just a little bit of a chill Q&A session!
6. Collect Your Passport
After the passport-making process is complete, you can wait at least 3 business days after payment to be able to pick it up. You can check the status of your passport periodically in your M-Paspor account.
