Documents Required to Apply for a UK Visa

1. Mandatory Files

Passport

You will also need to take two colored photos in size of 3.5 x 4.5 with white background. For your photos to be approved by the embassy, it needs to have high resolution and show your face clearly (ears must be visible).

Photocopy of Identity Card (KTP) and Family Card (Kartu Keluarga)
International tourists hoping to enter the UK must also attach a photocopy of their identity card or Kartu Tanda Penduduk (KTP) and their family card or Kartu Keluarga (KK). If you’re not from an English-speaking country, you must convert your documents to the English language first.

Financial Proof
For the embassy to be able to issue a visa for you, you must have proof of your financial state so that they’re convinced that you have sufficient funds to cover your living expenses there.Â
Therefore, you will need to attach your checking account statement for at least the last 3 months before your departure. If you already have a job and a steady income, you may have to include a copy of your income statement too.

Proof of Accommodation & Flight Tickets
In addition to financial proof, you also need to include evidence of accommodation during your stay in the UK and your round-trip flight tickets. This is necessary to ensure that the UK embassy can be more confirm about your travel plans while you’re in the UK.

Lastly, you will need to attach a copy of your travel itinerary that includes your accommodation information. This is required in order to ensure that you have a place to stay during your trip to the UK.
Steps to Get the UK Visa

After all the documents are prepared, the visa applicant is required to go through several stages of processing. The steps are as follows, t-mates!
1. Register for an Account on the Official Website
The first step is to visit the official Visa4UK website and register for an account. You will need to fill in some personal information like your contact and address details. After you’re finished and submit the information, there will be an account verification sent to your e-mail.
2. Fill Out the Application Form
After you have been verified, it’s now time to fill out the visa application form. Overall, the form will be divided into two. The first part is when you submit all of the required documents we mentioned earlier and the second part is an additional column to convince the embassy to accept the application for a UK visa.Â
3. Digitally Signed Your Forms and Documents
Before you sign your application form, make sure all the information written is correct and the required documents are completed. If there is a lack of documents, you must explain the reasons why the documents aren’t included.
4. Make an Interview Appointment
