- Effective March 3, 2022, all fully vaccinated passengers will be allowed to enter Perth without quarantine or self-isolation. Learn more here.
- Australia is reopening to all fully vaccinated visa holders including tourists, business travelers and other visitors. More information here.
- Unvaccinated visa holders will still need a valid travel exemption to enter Australia and will be subject to state and territory quarantine requirements.
- Visit the Australian Department of Home Affairs website for more information on exceptions to entry restrictions.
- To be eligible to travel to Australia without requesting a travel exemption, passengers must meet the Australian Government Requirements.
- Show a medical certificate with a negative COVID-19 NAAT test result no later than 3×24 hours or Rapid Antigen at least 1×24 hours before departure. This does not apply to:
- Passengers under 5 years old.
- Passengers with a positive PCR test result for COVID-19 and are declared healthy no later than 4 weeks before departure stating that:
- It has been at least 14 days since being infected with COVID-19; and
- 3×24 hours have passed since fever and respiratory symptoms recovered.
- Passengers must have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they have been fully vaccinated at least 14 days before departure.
- Two doses: AstraZeneca Vaxzevria, AstraZeneca Covishield, Pfizer/Biotech, Comirnaty, Moderna Spikevax or Takeda, Sinovac Coronavac, Bharat Biotech Covaxin, Sinopharm BBIBP-CorV (for those under 60 years of age upon arrival in Australia), Gamaleya Sputnik V Research Institute, Novavax/ Nuvaxovid Bioselector; orÂ
- One dose: Johnson & Johnson/ Janssen-Cilag COVID Vaccine
- From 15 February, passengers entering Australia by air must complete a Digital Passenger Declaration (DPD) prior to departure.
- Passengers can start filling out the DPD 7 days before the flight to Australia but can only complete the DPD within 3×24 hours before departure according to the travel requirements (vaccines and COVID tests).
- Starting 1 March, passengers will be able to complete their DPD by downloading the Digital Passenger Declaration app on the App Store or Google Play. For further information, click here.
