In contrast, Thun Lake is where you go when you want to do water activities. Of course both lakes are just as stunning and, if you want to prove it, you can take a boat tour that will take you around both lakes.

The Matterhorn is the most well-known peak in Switzerland and it’s a paradise for people who love doing winter sports. To get here, first you must go to Zermatt, a village near the mountain.
Zermatt is a car-free town, so if you’re planning to drive yourself there, you must park your car in the designated parking area and take a 12-minute train ride. Or, for convenience, you can take a taxi or a train from Zürich. After that, you can hike, take a cable car, or, if you want to arrive with style, a scenic helicopter ride.
Coming down from the mountain and back to Zermatt, you can walk for about 15 minutes to the bewitching Gorner Gorge.
Since the last ice age, the water from the glacial river has continuously sliced through the cliffs, thus creating a fabulous canyon with glistening water. Not far from it, you can find the Gorner Gorge park where you can chill in the meadow or play with the cute Swiss sheeps.
