1. Sunyaragi Cave

Though its name suggests that this place is in fact, a cave, this place is actually a water palace or known as “Taman Sari” in Indonesian, This place is an ancient heritage of Cirebon’s sultanate centuries ago. This place was originally built as a harem, in which you could explore various different rooms. It’ll sure make you imagine what it was like before!

SECOND STOP: Semarang

Having a stop at Semarang wouldn’t hurt, because you could visit a place or two in this fantastic, full-of-fun city!

1. Lawang Sewu

In Lawang Sewu, you can witness various different spots that will take you back to a century ago. Initially built as a headquarter for the Dutch East Indies Railway Company during the Dutch colonial period, this building is now opening its doors where you can explore and find out more about the colonial era. Interestingly, this building has many doors– hence the name, which is translated as “Thousand Doors”. Lawang Sewu is a perfect short stop where you can immerse yourself in history.

2. Dusun Semilir

Drive further away from the center of Semarang, half-way through Solo, you’ll find yourself enchanted into this eco-park. Dusun Semilir is a perfect stop for you who drive along with children, and to keep them always energized and excited along their long, road trip journey! 🙂 

This eco-park offers various areas with different kinds of fun for each. Are you into an instagrammable photo spot? Dusun Semilir has this European-style park with European-style buildings where you can take pictures. Well, this is the right alternative for you who yearns for a Europe trip alright! 😉 

There are also these famous colorful slides standing tall up to 30 meters if you would love to have a bit of an adrenaline rush to keep you energized. You could also find restaurants to fill your tummy before you go on for your next journey.
