1. Gudeg
When you set your foot in Jogja, you gotta try gudeg, a popular food in the city. Gudeg is made from young unripe jackfruit mixed with palm sugar, coconut milk, and spices. Usually, sellers serve gudeg on banana leaf with warm rice, a hard-boiled egg, and krecek. You can find gudeg everywhere in many food stalls in Jogja.
2. Bakmi Godog
Bakmi godog is a traditional Javanese noodle dish that is available in Yogyakarta. The dish consists of yellow noodles, chicken, vegetables, garlic shallot, tomato, and other delicious spices! It’s delicious and comforting food, especially if you eat it after heavy rain 😉
3. Sate Klatak
This satay can be found basically anywhere in Jogja. It is a mutton satay that is cut and grilled fresh in front of you. The satay is very yummy because it is rich in flavor.

1. Malioboro
Malioboro is a famous shopping street in Jogja. It is a cheap shopping area selling everything from bags, t-shirts to souvenirs. Sometimes, you can bargain the souvenirs and get good prices. At Malioboro, you can relax in the coffee shop and enjoy your meals. The place has a vibrant nightlife.

2. Punthuk Setumbu
From the top of the hills at Punthuk Setumbu, you can witness a great sunrise. It is a great place where you can see the Borobudur temple. Hear the bird singing the sound of blowing wind with your family, friends, and your significant other!
