Day 1 – Jakarta – London

If you live in Jakarta, Indonesia, the journey to London takes about 17 hours. It’s a long flight and it must be tiring. So, you better find comfortable clothes to wear, reserve a good seat, and prepare a good travel pillow.

Or, if you are traveling from anywhere in this world, you can book a flight ticket to Heathrow Airport in the United Kingdom. Booking a flight ticket to London is easier through tiket.com, as you only need to do a few swipes and fill in the details needed to get your ticket. Yup, you can save a lot of time!

After you’ve arrived at Heathrow, you can take a train on the Heathrow Express to Central London. The journey takes about 15 minutes. Find your hotel and get some rest after a long journey, t-mates.

Day 2: Time to Explore London!

You’ve finally arrived at The Big Smoke. What to do on your first day? Well, exploring London’s popular landmarks sounds like a good plan, right?

One of the popular landmarks to visit in London is Westminster Abbey. This is a huge Gothic abbey church, a most notable religious building and a traditional place for coronation and burial site for English and British monarchs.

After exploring Westminster Abbey, you can stroll around London. London has a famous icon, which is the Red Telephone Box. You can still see these British red telephone kiosks in many places in London. You’re welcome to take selfies, say cheese!

Before the sun sets, it’s the right time to ride on the London Eye. It’s a great way to see the panoramic views of London City with your other half. The London Eye moves slowly, so you’ll get a chance to take as many pictures as you want! The ride takes around thirty minutes.

Day 3: Visit Impressive Tourist Attractions in London

You’ve not seen enough of London yet, t-mates. On the second day in London, we recommend you to visit Buckingham Palace. What images pop into your mind when you hear Buckingham Palace? Yes, the Royal Family. You can do some sightseeing there such as seeing the changing of the guard process, visiting the royal state rooms and exploring the Household Cavalry Museum.

Done having fun at Buckingham Palace? Head to the Tower Bridge London. This iconic bridge is very unique; it is older than a century. It’s 250 meters in length, 7 meters wide, and each tower measures 65 meters in height. Come and learn the history of this moveable bridge that is powered by a hydraulic mechanism, it will be fun!

Day 4: Look at Beautiful Spots and do New Things at Westminster

There are more things to do in Westminster, such as going to Piccadilly Circus. It is a road junction and a busy meeting place and tourist attractions, especially at night. People often referred to this place as the British version of Times Square. You can see a huge video display and neon signs there.

Nearby Piccadilly Circus is Trafalgar Square, a symbol of Britain. Trafalgar Square is located right in the center of the city. You can see one of the most famous statues there called Nelson’s Column. There are also other statues of important historical figures such as King George IV on horseback, Generals Sir Henry Havelock and Sir Charles James Napier. Make your holiday memorable by capturing lots of pictures there, t-mates!

Day 5 : Wandering Around Harry Potter’s Filming Locations at Oxford

Oxford is only less than 2 hours drive from London. You can have an easy day trip from London by using a bus, a train, or a private car. Where to visit in Oxford? Well, this popular town is known for its prestigious university, namely The University of Oxford. It is the oldest university in the English-speaking world.

There are 38 colleges spread throughout the city but the oldest and the most historic are clustered in the ancient center of Oxford. Walk around the area and find famous film locations that were featured in many early Harry Potter movies. Have fun!

Day 6 Enjoy Your Time at Manchester

It’s quite a long journey from Oxford to Manchester, about 4 hours by train. But, for sure your journey is going to be worth it. In Manchester, you can visit the Old Trafford Stadium, the world-famous home of Manchester United. Other things you can do there are to enjoy the behind the scenes Stadium Tour, try good foods at the Red Cafe and buy some souvenirs in the Megastore.

Thinking about shopping? You can visit Manchester Arndale, a premier shopping center where you can find designer clothes of every style and budget. Not enough with that? Head to Manchester Market street, for sure you will find what you’re looking for!

Day 7 Fly Back to Indonesia

A week has passed by so fast! You’ve visited a lot of beautiful places, eaten a lot of good food, and taken plenty of pictures. It’s time to go back home. From your hotel, make your way to Manchester Airport. Hopefully, you’ve enjoyed your time in the United Kingdom, t-mates!
