What to Prepare Prior Your Visit to Taman Safari Prigen

First things first, you must know the exact location of the place. Unlike Taman Safari Bogor, Taman Safari Prigen is situated on the eastern part of Java Island, at the foot of Arjuno Mountain, Pasuruan, to be exact.

There is nothing to prepare in particular, just make sure that you are in your best condition and bring an extra jacket to fight the chilly weather. Other than that, just enjoy your time and have fun!

1. Encounter the Wildlife on Safari Adventure

As we’ve explained earlier, Taman Safari Prigen is home for thousands of species originating from 5 different continents. So when you’re on their Safari Adventure, you’ll get through 5 different animal zones. 

The first zone will be the Africa Zone where you can find exotic animals like zebras, giraffes, and rhinos. Moving onto the next, you will enter the Europe-America Zone and say hello to the llamas and bison. Then, you’ll find yourself inside the Asia Zone. You are probably already familiar with some of the species here, but it’s still interesting nonetheless. 

The ride lasts for about 45 minutes, so you can enjoy your time there while feeding the animals from your car. But beware when you’re nearing the end of the road, because you’re about to enter the Carnivore Zone, home to some of the most dangerous animals on earth!

Last but not least, you’ll visit the Australiana Zone. Compared to others, this zone is relatively new, but still as interesting. In this zone you can meet and interact with animals from the continents of Australia like red neck wallaby, wombat, grey kangaroo, and even the lovely koala!

2. Interact with Cute Animals in Baby Zoo

Only going through the zones and briefly playing with the animals from your car may sound a little boring. So Taman Safari Prigen has opened a separate area for those who want to be more intimate with the animals.

At the Baby Zoo, visitors can enjoy several activities where they can be up close and personal with their favorite animals. After visiting the animals in their natural habitat, it’s now time to see them in action! Every day, Taman Safari Prigen will hold a couple of shows with their trained animals. Two of their most favorites are Elephant’s Story and Bird Show.

Not only showcasing the smart animals, Taman Safari Prigen also tries to deliver important messages through their performance. Like in their Elephant’s Story, for example, they’re telling a story about how elephants’ habitat is getting narrowed down by humans, hence making the animals go wild on the villagers. 4. Swimming with Dolphins

The first tourist destination near Taman Safari prigen we will recommend is the legendary Putuk Truno Waterfall. Why is it legendary, you ask? Well, according to folklore, this waterfall will give true love to anyone who soaks in the natural pool. So, for all of you singles out there, let’s give it a shot, shall we? Haha.

2. Get Aesthetic Photos in Jawi Temple

Another tourism site you can visit while you’re in Pasuruan is Jawi Temple. Located only 30 minutes away from Taman Safari Prigen, this temple is the cultural pride of Pasuruan. Inside the area, they have a mini zoo where you can feed farm animals like sheep, cows, even ponies!

4. Enjoy the Clean Air at Ranu Grati Lake

Next up, we have Ranu Grati Lake that offers surreal landscape of a green like and lush greens. This destination is perfect for people who are looking for a calming scene after an adventurous safari experience.

Some of the most favorite activities on the site is fishing and circling around the lake with a pedicab. But, of course, the main event in Ranu Grati Lake is watching the sun sets at the end of the day.

5. Sip a Cup of Tea at Wonosari Argo Tourism

Okay, technically this one is not in Pasuruan, but it’s still near from Taman Safari Prigen. Wonosari Argo Tourism is a tea plantation site that’s managed by the Malang’s government.

Of course, the first thing you can do here is photo hunting which, by the way, we think will be pretty easy to do since they have such an incredible scenery. Another option is to watch the process of making tea from scratch.

But, if you want something with more adrenaline rush, you can head down to their outbound area where they have thrilling activities like riding the ATV, sliding down the flying fox, or even paint ball!
