This place has been around since 1958, t-mates. One of the main signature of Lontong Balap Pak Gendut is the fresh, clear soup which make it different from other lontong balap in the city.  

Using an inherited recipe, the fresh lontong sauce is combined with the softness of the lontong, the crunchiness of the bean sprouts, and the savory lento (tolo bean cakes). It tastes so good, guys!

Tahu Campur Cak Kahar has been a favorite of Surabaya residents since 1960. The delicious recipe for this tahu campur comes from Mrs. Aminah, Cak Kahar’s maternal grandmother. This stall is always packed with customers as the food is flavorful and mouthwatering.

One of the most popular rawon stalls in Surabaya is Rawon Nguling. Since its opening in 1942, the taste of Rawon Nguling remains authentic. What a legendary restaurant to enjoy rawon!

Another legendary food from Surabaya that you should know is Sate Klopo Ondomohen. The name klopo is taken from the Javanese language that means coconut. This satay is made from beef and fat that is covered in seasoned grated coconut which makes this satay different from other satay.

Warung Sate Klopo Ondomohen has been opened since 1945, and the name Ondomohen itself is taken from the name of the road where the restaurant established, but now the road name has changed to Jalan Wali Kota Mustajab, t-mates.

Asih Soedarmi’s sate klopo is very famous for its delicious peanut sauce. What makes the flavor so tasty and addicting is the combination of peanut sauce with satay wrapped in coconut flakes and sweet soy sauce.
