How to Get to Pemo Village?
By now, you should be familiar with Pemo Village. So, the question that may come to your mind is how to get there, right? The village is very close to Kelimutu Lake.
The way to get to this village is the same as the way to Kelimutu National Park. From Frans Seda Maumere Airport, you can continue your journey to the city of Maumere. Then, from the city, continue towards Ende, and get off at Moni Village.
Moni Village itself is located at the foot of Mount Kelimutu and is about 13 km to the gate of the Kelimutu National Park. Many lodgings are available in this village. If it’s too late to continue your journey up, you better stay for a night at one of the accommodations there.
On the next day, you can continue your journey to the gates of the Kelimutu National Park, which opens at 05.00 WITA, using a motorcycle taxi or car. The location of Pome Village is not far from the entrance gate of this national park.
For those of you who are prone to motion sickness, you should prepare some medicine, because the trip from Maumere to Moni Village is dominated by winding roads and takes a long time, which is about 3 hours!
