1. Learn About Your Favorite Animals at Central Park Zoo & Resort

The first destination we’re going to recommend for a fun family trip in Medan is the Central Park Zoo & Resort! Aside from having plenty of recreational activities, the entrance fee is also quite affordable!

In general, Central Park Zoo & Resort is divided into 5 parts: the zoo, aviary, aquarium, water park, and central games. What we like about this zoo is they take care of the animals well. You can say hello to all the mammals, birds, reptiles, and fishes. For some species, they even offer an opportunity for you to interact with animals closely!

After walking around the zoo under the bright sun, it’s time to cool off your body in the water park! The pool is safe for both children and adults, they even have rubber tubes that you can rent out.
But, if you’re not in the mood to swim, you can always come to their zoo museum. Here, you can learn so many things about your favorite animals. From their evolution to habitat, you can learn it all here!

On number two, we have Cermin Beach, the current favorite spot for both tourists and locals. Why you ask? Because, aside from the beautiful beach, there is also a theme park inside! So the whole concept of this attraction is very unique.

If we’re to talk about the beach, the stunning panorama surrounding the area is definitely the highlight. Even though it’s not a white sand beach, the land still feels soft so your kids can freely run around comfortably.

The theme park features an expansive swimming area that can be enjoyed by any age group. For the children, they offer a designated area where they can swim in a castle-like swimming pool.
But for the adults, there is this gigantic slide in the middle of the pool for those who seek for a thrilling experience! Are you brave enough to get on it, t-mates?

If you’re already in the Medan tourism scene for a while, you must know this magnificent building. Graha Maria Annai Velangkanni is a tourist attraction that also functions as a Catholic temple that’s located in the heart of the city.

Since it was built back in 2005, the site instantly became a tourist favorite due to its unique architecture. In a glance, the design is almost similar to an Indian temple. Not only that, inside the building, you can also find some relief and statues that are similar to Indian arts.

Once you set foot inside the temple, you’ll see many vibrant paintings on the wall and roof. But these aren’t just mere paintings. If you look closely, it actually tells the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
Even though this is a Catholic temple, people with any religious background are welcome to visit the property. So, what are you waiting for, t-mates? Let’s go!

Ever heard of the Deli Serdang Empire? Maimoon Palace was built by the 9th king from that kingdom, Sultan Mahmud Al Rasyid. Back in the 1800s, Sultan Mahmud Al Rasyid built this palace with the help of an Italian architect.

Many people have named this palace as one of the most beautiful ancient royal palaces in the country and we agree with them. How can we not? The outer design is magnificent, featuring green domes, yellow roof, and resembles a grand mosque.

Stepping inside, the combination of yellow and green is more prominent. But now, they take it up a notch with touches of gold in some places. In the main living area, you will find a throne room, which was used as a place for kings of Deli to be crowned or other traditional events.
The palace is enormous so you will find more gems inside. But all and all, Maimoon Palace is a destination you shouldn’t miss out on!
