Homecoming Tips for a Safe & Comfortable Trip
Before you go, follow these tips to enjoy a safe and comfortable journey for homecoming below!
1. Make Sure You’re Fit

Traveling back to your hometown, especially by land, can take quite a long time. Therefore, it is recommended that you prepare your physical health days before embarking on the journey, so you remain healthy and fit throughout the trip. By doing so, you can avoid fatigue and illnesses that may occur during the holiday!

To ensure that your body stays fit during the journey, you can start by getting proper rest, consuming healthy foods, doing light exercise and taking necessary vitamins. By doing this, your body will become healthier and more energetic, allowing you to avoid fatigue while traveling.
2. Check Your Belongings

Whether you’re traveling back home with a private or public vehicle, your luggage remains a factor that needs to be considered, t-mates. Carrying too much luggage can make you feel uncomfortable, of course. Especially if you’re using public transportation, this can also disturb the comfort of others.

For safety reasons, avoid bringing jewelry or other valuable items that are quite flashy when you go with public transportation.
3. Check Your Vehicle Conditions

Before traveling back to your hometown, you must check the condition of your vehicle. Especially for those of you who plan to travel with a private vehicle, you can get it checked by the professional mechanic.

For a safe trip back home, it is advisable to pay attention to the vehicle’s health, such as the quality of the brakes, engine, carburetor, tire, AC and many other important parts. Take note, having a vehicle problem in the middle of a homecoming traffic jam is not a pleasant experience! ?
4. Bring Food & Drink Supplies

Body is fit, luggage is ready, vehicle is safe, and your heart is finally at peace for this year’s homecoming journey. However, the long travel time will surely make you bored and hungry!
That’s why you should also pay attention to your needs for food and drinks so that you don’t get hungry on the way.

So, the next tip for Eid al-Fitr homecoming journey that you should remember is to prepare some food supplies. Don’t let your body become weak due to difficulty in finding food to eat on the way or to break your fast when the time comes.
5. Carry Extra Cash

It’s always better to be prepared than to be sorry later! You cannot always find an ATM machine everywhere, so it’s good to have some extra cash during the trip in case there’s any unexpected expenses.

For instance, cash would be essential when you have to pay for the gas but they don’t accept cards or when you need to buy something from the street vendors! However, make sure that you don’t carry cash too much for safety reasons.
