How to Get to Bintan Island
There are three ways you can choose to reach Bintan: by riding a ferry, a speedboat, or a RoRo boat (Roll On Roll Off). You may choose any starting point, but Batam is most the ideal one.
The first one, ferry. This is the most common choice for tourists. It’s simple, comfortable, and fairly-priced. You can begin your ferry ride from Telaga Punggur harbor in Batam and go to Sri Bintan Pura harbor in Tanjung Pinang in one hour.
Other possible starting points are Singapore and Malaysia. If you’re looking for a nice beach trip after exploring our neighboring countries, you can ride a ferry to reach Bintan Pura harbor. From Singapore, you can set Bandar Bentan Telani Terminal as your destination to get closer to the famous Bintan Resorts.
Your second alternative would be a speedboat! This one costs less than a ferry ride and will take you to Bintan quicker. However, keep in mind that it has way less capacity compared to the ferry.
Next, you can also hop on a RoRo boat. But, be patient though, t-mates! This ride won’t be as quick as the speedboat.
