How to Get to Banyak Island

Banyak Island is located on the west coast of Aceh, North Sumatra. Most of the locals live on the main island called Balai island. Meanwhile, the other islands are mostly uninhabited.

The closest airport to Banyak Island is Kualanamu International Airport (KNO) in Medan. Upon arrival, you can rent a vehicle to go to the port at Singkil.

Tips: if you want to have a rest, you can stay at one of the hotels near Kualanamu Airport or at accommodation in Singkil.

After you make it to the port in Singkil, you can go to Banyak Island by taking a boat. There are several choices of boats that can take you to Balai Island.

Activities on Banyak Island
