1. Batik Village

Bogor is also popular for its batik (Indonesia’s best-known traditional fabric); the city even has its own Batik Village! In Cibuluh, North Bogor, you will find a beautiful village that sells various types of batik.

In this Batik Village, there are more than 40 families who are working as batik craftsmen! Isn’t that amazing?

While going there, you can stop by the Bogor Batik History Museum as well. We bet spending a full day there will be so much fun!

2. Perca Village

The true power of stay-at-home mothers is shown here at the amazing Perca Village. With the backstory of the tough economy that Ms. Nining’s family went through during the pandemic, she helped herself and eventually others by opening a business in making patchworks.

As you stroll around the village, you can see gorgeous-looking walls filled with colorful murals. Come visit and take nice pictures, perhaps take home some few goodies made by the strong women of the Perca Village~

3. Labirin Village

If the name doesn’t excite you, then you must read further! Just like its name, the village is unintendedly built like a maze, which attracts tourists to try their luck by figuring out the path of this unique village.

Mostly colored in green, walking inside this village won’t feel uncomfortable because it gives calm vibes and you will continuously meet with locals who live there! Bear in mind that the roads are quite tricky. You may get lost if you don’t know the way out 🙂 So, don’t be embarrassed to ask the locals, alright?

4. Pulo Geulis Village

Pulo Geulis Village has its own attractions like no others. Dominated by Sundanese and Tionghoa cultures, this ethnic village makes sure everything is well-protected, whether it is living or non-living things.

A place that you must visit there is Vihara Maha Brahma, the oldest vihara in Bogor City. A living proof that religious tolerance is true and prospering. It’s just beautiful in every aspect!

Cuisines in Bogor You Definitely Want to Try!

1. Laksa Bogor

Do you know that in our beloved city, Bogor, you can try the famous Laksa.

Different compared to Singapore, this dish is made with a mixture of red oncom, bean sprouts, vermicelli, and pieces of ketupat. The warmth of a bowl of laksa is perfect for the ever-so-chilling cold weather of Bogor.

2. Doclang

The name might sound unique and rather funny, but the taste is truly yummy! You’ll get a plate filled with rice cake, fried tofu, potatoes, boiled eggs, and last but not least, crispy crackers. To top it all off, it will be generously poured with thick peanut sauce and drizzled with a bit of sweet soy sauce. Get a hold of that drool, t-mates!

The unique difference lies in the wrapper of the rice cake. Doclang used the rice cake that is wrapped in “patat” leaves that have long been used as a packaging material in Bogor. Enough for the description, let’s just try it, shall we?

3. Roti Unyil Bogor

The talk of the town, the must-visit every time you come to Bogor, is none other than Roti Unyil! Small and soft bread topped with various choices of fillings, savory or sweet, it’s everybody’s favorite.

When in Bogor, don’t forget to stop by and buy yourself some to take home, okay! Pro tips: it tastes best when it’s still warm and freshly made~

4. Kopi Daong

Cafes in Bogor are top-notch too, t-mates! Especially this one that’s surrounded by greeneries and fairy lights located not far from the city.

Situated in the heart of pine forests, Kopi Daong is perfect for a breath of fresh air and new pics for the feeds. The coffee here is a must-try too~

3. Cimory Dairyland

Take your whole family here, where one place can provide you so much! Restaurants and small stalls are full of instagrammable spots, ready to be explored!

Kiddos in the family will love the activities there such as camel feeding, duck pond, mini donkey & sheep farm, and also horse riding. Don’t forget to buy sweets and goodies from Cimory, t-mates!
