Your 3D2N Itinerary in Labuan Bajo

Turn your imagination into reality, t-mates! This is how your 3 days and 2 nights in Labuan Bajo is going to look like.

Day 1

On this day, you are expected to gather at the meeting point at around 10 AM to 11 AM (local time) in the morning. Remember to prepare things you need before you begin your adventure.

1. Kelor Island

Kelor island has many features you’ll find fascinating. The beaches, hills, and calm sea will definitely take your breath away. Tourists usually visit this island to dive or snorkel. However, this is only your first destination and you won’t get wet this early, t-mates! ?

Instead, you’re going to climb the hills of the island and witness the beauty of its surrounding from a better view. Once you see everything from up the hill, you will see how clear the water is and how pristine the beach is.

Make sure you have your camera ready and keep a bottle of water with you!

2. Rinca Island

Next stop, the land of Komodo dragons. Your main agenda here is clearly to get close to the mighty komodo. Rinca Island offers great opportunities for tourists to spot the Komodo dragons in their natural habitat.

Although Rinca island comes in second, you won’t have to worry about having a hard time looking for the Komodo dragons here. Wondering why? It’s because the size of Rinca island is smaller, but it becomes the house of more than 1,000 komodo dragons!

Before returning to the ship, you can explore the island by trekking. Surely, you’ll find countless beautiful Insta-worthy spots there. You still have some storage space after your Kelor Island photo session, right?

[Update] Rinca island is temporarily closed until June 2021

3. Kalong Island

Approaching the sunset, you’re going to see the homes of bats. The idea of it may be scary but really, it’s unbelievable to see so many bats flying around with your own eyes.

If you’re lucky, sometimes a huge group of bats would fly upon you and create a spooky vibe.

This is your last destination during the day, so give your body and mind some time to rest by enjoying the beautiful sunset from the comfort of your boat.

After that, you can enjoy your free hours and have a good night’s sleep in your cabin. If you’re the type of person who likes to munch some snack before you sleep, the cabin’s got your back with its snack storage and coffee/tea. Eat or drink as much as you wish!

Day 2

Wake up early on this day, t-mates! your trip starts at 5 AM in the morning ?

1. Padar Island

The exotism of Padar Island is truly unquestionable! Your long journey of hiking the steep hills is paid off the moment you witness the island’s beauty from the hill. It’s almost as if you’re in a painting!

Photography enthusiasts, this is your kind of heaven. You’re going to spend about 2,5 hours here. So, take your time while you snap countless pics!

2. Long Beach

Your second stop of the day is Long Beach, an iconic beach with pinky-white sand. The beach is famous among beach lovers. Surprise, t-mates! This destination is going to be your first diving experience during your trip.

Get ready to jump into its crystal clear water and see the red corals behind the pinky sand!

3. Taka Makassar

You don’t think Long Beach will be your only diving stop, do you? Next, you’re going to spend a good half an hour snorkeling on the beautiful moon-shaped island of Taka Makassar.

The water on this island is shallow. However, this diving haven holds strong currents that require experience or assistance when you dive. Once you can comfortably dive here, you’ll have a great time meeting jellyfish, starfish, and sea turtles!

4. Manta Point

Not far from Taka Makassar is the Manta ‘guarantee’ site, Manta Point! You’re going to have another snorkel session here and meet face-to-face with manta rays.

How big do you think manta rays are? They seem cute and calm in pics but apparently, their widths can get as big as 3 meters. Therefore, you should stay calm during your dive to prevent them from hurting you because unfortunately, they can do that easily.

5. Gili Lawa

Alright, no more jumping into the water today! Your last destination is the beautiful Gili Lawa Island where you can witness exceptional sunset scenery and relax your mind.

You should thank your body for getting to this point! Just imagine, you will have visited 5 spots and dived into 3 seas by the time you’re here. Must be exhausting, but fulfilling.

Day 3

Another day of starting the trip at 5 AM! Cherish this one t-mates, it’s the last one!

1. Siaba Island

To begin your last day, you will visit Siaba Island, an island in the northern part of Komodo Archipelago known for its exquisite underwater beauty.

Known for its Coral Reef Park, Siaba Besar Island has become one of the divers’ favorites. By diving into its water, you’ll see turtles hiding behind its colorful reefs. No wonder this island is called the city of turtles!

2. Kanawa Island

This charming island has its own dock for tourist boats. Once you get off the boat, feel free to explore its beaches by the crystal-clear sea. If you want to, you can also climb its hill by doing a little trekking.

Once you’re at the top, you will have your breath taken away by the amazing panorama of the ocean and the islands afar. Without a doubt, you will come back from the hill with a refreshed mind!

3. Return to Labuan Bajo

So, this is it! After a long trip of exploring the amazing islands around Labuan Bajo, it’s time to come back to the city and say goodbye to your adventure. Before lunch, the ship will return as you reimagine how great the last 3 days were.
